General objective:
Identify activities, characteristics, and management models of (peri) urban farmers organizations in Latin America and Europe ; analyzing results and extracting lessons from their alliances and strategies related to urban agriculture and policy lobbying. This aims to strengthen urban farmers organizations and improve formulation of their future interventions at municipal level, through promoting knowledge sharing and mutual collaboration. |

Specific objectives:
• Provide a characterization of those organizations that have managed to access local resources, establish alliances and placed themselves as relevant lobbying forces.
• Compare their strategies, management models, alliances and results.
• Analyze the results and effects of different organizational and management structures on access to resources, lobbying and advocacy at local and national levels.
• Build, in a participatory way, local agendas for action-oriented research aimed at strengthening the farmers organizations. This will be based on the analysis and discussion of their public policy incidence and the achieved results.
• Facilitate networking and mutual learning between urban farmers organizations in order to promote exchanges and collaboration.
