The main results of the project are:
• Case studies of urban farmers organizations from Latin America and Europe that provide information on their internal organization, functioning, strategies and alliances established to improve lobbying and access to resources.
• Analysis of the management models, strategies and alliances of the organizations.
• Typology of the farmers organizations for accessing resources and influencing on public policy
• Analysis of alliances and strategies results for the organizations and their members, as well as their potential and weaknesses for lobbying.
• Local agendas containing strengthening actions identified and prioritized by the organizations.
• An agenda containing actions and proposals for action-oriented research to strengthen organizations in both regions. The agenda is aimed at stakeholders from local and national governments, international institutions and development cooperation programs working on urban agriculture.
• Mechanisms to facilitate widespread dissemination of the project documents and results. |
